In the heart of Chicago, CNCRT was able to hold its first-ever event in the city at FourtuneHouse - a small non-profit dedicated to the creative community. This evening marked the official launch of our brand, committed to helping creatives "pave their way."
Guests were welcomed by construction-themed decorations, setting the tone for our brand's identity and giving the room some personality. We also had some limited edition tee shirts we were selling that did very well and, ultimately, ended up selling out online after.
Inside the event, DJ Preme kept the energy high with his music throughout the night. Outside, guests enjoyed a game of bags, taking advantage of the pleasant weather, networking, and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
Outside of this, the main attraction of the event was the photo gallery. Featuring the works of myself (Danny Pleckham), along with incredible Chicago photographers Timmy Risden & Gualo Hawes, the gallery was filled with timeless shots of concert and hip-hop photography. It was an incredible experience to share our work and see the community's response. We were even able to give away some prints of the photos & made sure to sign them as well for those who wanted.
The event was also a great opportunity for networking. The intimate setting allowed music artists, photographers, and other creatives to connect, exchange ideas, talk about their stories, and even discuss potential collaborations down the line.
We also conducted short interviews outside with some attending artists and creatives when we could. These conversations provided insights into their journeys in the creative industry, talking about how they were able to "Pave their way" throughout their careers. Their stories inspired many attendees, encouraging them to continue pursuing their passions and have conversations about their own experiences throughout the night.
The success of the event was a testament to the spirit of Chicago's creative community and is nothing short of the beginning. I've always said Chicago has some of the best creatives in the country and that belief has only been solidified more since starting this brand. We are grateful to FourtuneHouse for hosting us in a fantastic space, to DJ Preme for keeping the vibes perfect all night, to Timmy Risden & Gualo Hawes for being open to showcase their amazing work, to all of the rest of the CNCRT team, & last but not least, to everyone who came out to attend and support us. It truly meant a lot to see this come together for everyone.
This event is truly just the beginning. Stay connected with us on social media (@cncrtstatus) to see highlights from the evening and stay updated on future CNCRT events for more. Let’s continue to pave the way, together.
